![]() Sam’s Town Fun! Hi all and Thank you for another great day of smiles and laughter. We had some great conversations, along with visitors from our Hawaii Region. All in all, a great day for everyone, making new friends and seeing the older members coming out of the woodwork. Our numbers in Las Vegas Region are still growing as we have been averaging 7 new members weekly. Our numbers for re-entries are still at a great ratio to first time entries. This week was outstanding as we had 6 new members and 3 visitors from our Hawaii region. This is the first time that 5 new members to the tour made the cash list along with a Father/Daughter combo bowling alongside each other. Once again, we have Crowned a new First time, Champion. Brand new to the 9-Tap Tour is first timer Roam Hicks. Roam was wearing his Dexter ‘The 9’ Bowling Shoes and Rolling with a Purple Hammer Urethane Ball. Roam had his Coming in Second on Sunday was a great guy with a great name Nick Kan. He has been bowling the tour left-handed for a few weeks Averaging 158 and improving each week. Nick is now down for the count for awhile to have Right Shoulder Surgery to repair ligaments and tendons. His goal is to return as soon as possible to continue his Left-handed run for his first title. The funniest story of the day is the Father/Daughter Duo, who just joined the tour at Sam’s Town on 10/15/23. Alex and his daughter Alexis came to us from a long-time member Greg Mamac. Congrats, Greg on making it to Lifetime Membership! These two only missed tying each other by 1 pin, talk about competing with family. Some FYIs, We do have a Dress Code to follow, but we know everyone is busy these days. To stay professional, no head wear and after your 4th tournament collared shirts are required. Bowling shirts are a great tool to use, everyone has at least one these days. No holes in your jeans, a lot of people we know like to wear a comfortable pair of golf shorts. We encourage everyone to have fun when bowling, keeping your composure is very important. Don’t hit the chairs, tables or scream profanity. The 9-Tap Tour follows rules that aren’t any different than most USBC tournament rules. To check out the complete list of rules, please visit www.9taptour.comand click on Las Vegas Region. Please don’t forget, if you can’t hang around after the tournament, we hold your check until your next tournament. We have a schedule change for Sunday Nov. 5th at Santa Fe, we are changing it to 2 Squads at 11am & 1pm. We will not be holding the 9am squad, it seems to be a bit early for everyone. Also, The Orleans had a mix up with there schedule and double booked. So, we worked with them and changed the date to Sunday Dec 3rd for ONE BIG SQUAD at 11am. We can fit up to 200 Bowlers on this squad, so LET’S FILL IT UP! |
