Pahrump Nugget Veteran’s Day, We had a great turn out for our come back to Vegas Veteran’s Day Tournament over the Hump in Pahrump. We want to thank the Randy and the crew at the Nugget Bowl for a great day of fun. They all did an outstanding job on Saturday. A very special thank you to all the sponsors that came through last minute to help with our Veteran’s day tournament. Along with the most special thank you to all who Served for coming out and having a great day with us. The 9-Tap Family had a record week for new member sign-ups, which totaled out to be 41 new members before the start of the Veteran’s day Tournament. We appreciate each one of you who support the 9-Tap Tour. We had 3 bowling ball give aways on Saturday. The first Veteran ball drawing winner from the first squad was Phillip Harders, the ball was donated from The Garage Pro Shop at the Nugget bowl and he chose a Storm ball. Our second squad Veteran to win a Storm ball was James Munger Sr. We are happy to announce that every drawing we had for our Veteran’s day tournament went to veteran’s who came out to participate. TJ Adrina, a retired Marine, was able to come out in the Second squad to hit the front 4 No-Taps to win the $100 for the day. Let’s get to the Biggest story on Saturday, our winner and now 2-time champion joining the tour way back in Oct of 2015. Her very first win was back in May of 2018, Our veteran tour member Ann Mcgee, is a very strong person beating Cancer and is in remission. Ann, despite fighting through pain still bowls in 3 leagues around the Las Vegas area, Santa Fe, Gold Coast, and out at Red Rock. She comes out almost every week to bowl on the tour, Ann always has the greatest attitude and smile to lighten everyone’s day. Not sure if anyone was watching, but Ann shot a very nice 822 with her outstanding day bowling. If the second frame would have worked with her, she would have had the front 7 No-Taps in her best game of the set. Ann with her win also won a new Storm bowling ball and was able to hold the lead all day only bowling the first squad. Her ball was purchased and Drilled at JB Bowling Supply, Not sure of what shoes she was wearing, all Ann, said was ‘NO!’ lol. Ann is retired and has a lot of friends in the 9-Tap family always cheering her on. Her favorite hobby to do when not bowling is to go ‘Hiking.’ Our second-place winner is new to the tour Joining at Gold Coast and helps us as a Floor Director. Mike Pankalla bowls with us on League Thursday night at the Nugget Bowl. Mike has been making the cash list lately, despite fighting through pain in his Achilles tendon. He made a great run trying to catch Ann but fell short. Mike shot a 799 and managed to hold the second spot all day. Our 3rd place finisher just joined the 9-Tap family at the Pahrump Nugget Veteran’s day tournament. Matthew Mchann, Fell short of Mike for second place by 3 pins coming in with 0 HDCP and shooting a very nice 797. Once again the Diversity of HDCP's are still in play on our cash list, just this last Saturday 0 up to 54 pin HDCP made the cash list. Remember the HDCP isn't what wins its how you bowl for the day. My wife and I have a very low HDCP, if i don't have a good day rolling it's the same outcome. Keep your head up and don't over think your bowling. Once again thank you from all of us at the 9-Tap Tour to all of you for making this so special. Another big thank you to all the Active/Retired Veteran’s out there for your service. |
