Another Good Day at Gold Coast! 

Evening all, 

We had another great day of bowling at Gold Coast.  We are still seeing an outstanding number of new members joining the tour each week.  The Tour is averaging 15 new members a week since the tours opener.   Thank you to our members for helping us with new incoming memberships.  The diversity in HDCP is still a key player making the Cash list each week, from 3 all the way up to 67 pins. Having a scoring to make the cash list at a 679. 

We have Great News! The very first person to make a run for the 9-Tap Jackpot happened Sunday at Gold Coast. Congratulations goes to Mark Kight, a long-time member or the 9-Tap Tour, member #4.  Sunday, Mark bowled in the 11am Squad only, putting together a very impressive run at the front 7 no taps in game 2.  Mark having the front 6 no taps, rolled for #7 having a good line his ball came in through the nose leaving a big 4,7,9 split. 

This week at Gold Coast was like a very interesting Novel.  We just had 2 members move from California to the Vegas area, this husband-and-wife Duo took 1st and 3rd at Santa Fe on Oct. 8th.  Their friends came into Vegas to bowl the San Diego Seniors. 

Our 9-Tap Tour wants to welcome our 7th First Time Champion Troy McFarlin to the 9-Tap Family.  Troy just joined the tour at Gold Coast on Oct. 22nd, 2023.  Troy came out rolling and, on a mission, rolling with the first 6 natural strikes in game one.  This set him on his way in the First Squad rolling well. Troy came to us asking if he could Re-Enter.  With Troy’s Re-Entry, he blows away his first entry makes everyone try to catch his 782 for the lead.  He came in with his Hammer Black Widow Urethane, drilled by his friend Tony at Gardena Bowl in California.  Troy bowls in 2 leagues during the week, Saddleback Thursday nights at 6:20pm, along with a league at Keystone Lanes on Sunday night around 4:30pm.  Troy plans on using his winnings to spend on his Lady Debora Ewing, along with paying Bills.  Debora was right along side Troy at Gold Coast bowling, also encouraging him to do his best.  Troy works for Kaiser Hospital and has been there going on 20 years now in February.  In his own words, Troy wants to thank ‘Nick and the Crew for running a great Tournament’.  Thank You Troy, from all of us to everyone, these kind words make our day!  Troy’s hobbies are to enjoy traveling, taking pictures, working on cars, watching movies, along with flying model rockets. 

Now onto our Second Place Cinderella, our Friend from Washington’s Puget Sound Region of the 9-Tap Tour.  Jordan Heil messaged me a few days before he was coming down to Vegas.  Was a nice surprise and great to see you last Sunday.  Jordan gave his all in the First Squad to shoot a 720.  Jordan re-entered and came up close to end with a 744 falling just short of first by 38 pins.  Not sure, but I think this could have been Jordan’s first title with the tour since Joining the Puget Sound Region. 

Our 3rd place finisher on Sunday was another newer member joining on Sept 9th at Suncoast Bowl.  Aaron McKinley having an outstanding day, rolled an impressive 731 on the day.  Aaron only having 3 pins of HDCP, and 1 bonus pin made an outstanding run for the cash list.
