Suncoast
Aug 12th, 2017
Total Paid Out: $3,126.00
It was a wild and fun time at Suncoast yesterday with an 80s themed charity fundraising event going on behind us on the opposite side of the house. I think I spotted a member of Motley Crew bowling. Despite this added attraction, everbody had a great time. At the end of the day we had 37 entries // 7 Members on the "Cash List" // $2625.00 paid out. Tony Madolora crushed it for another300 game to with the 300 Progressive Pot for $90.00. Darla Coxhad 3 Taps, good enough for $50 from the jackpot. Zane Hollanderwon the Crazy 8s contest for a Free Entry and Norris Montaguegot 2nd and a partial entry!
Suncoast can score a little bit on the high side as was proven by Michael Cox at noon when he put up a 1021 series. Renita Moorewas sitting very nicely in second place with her 992 and Tony Madolora's 962 put him in third place. Round Two brought about no changes to the Top Three.......but as always the last squad of the day can shake things up! Lenny Riley, having fell just short of making it to the Top 3 in squad 2 with a 953 set, went and re-entered at 5 pmand found the "zone". Smoking the lanes with an AWESOME 1097 set put Lenny firmly at the Top of the Leaderboard. This would push Michael Cox into a 2nd place finish worth a COOL $424.00! Renita Moore would settle for 3rd place and a NICE check in the amount of $257.00. As for the Tour's newest champ, Lenny would pocket an AWESOME $716.00 for his first Tour win! Very nice bowling by all the Members on the "Cash List" this week!
Lenny Riley joined the Tour in January of 2017. Armed with hisRoto Grip Storm drilled by Johnny Petraglia Jr at BowlersMart atSunset, he told me once he found the spot on the lane he was feeling lucky. Lenny also shared with me that after bowling poorly the week before at Sam's Town, he went and put in somePRACTICE time at Sunset. Apparently, this practice effort paid off big time! Cheered on by fellow Tour Members, Renita Moore and Wakonca Carter, Lenny plans on paying down some bills and spending time with his family. He also expressed his thanks to the 9-Tap Tour for their efforts in giving him the opportunity to bowl. Well done Lenny....you got the first one! Now keep up the practice and the second one will be easier!
