 Another succesful Crazy 8s contest with 9 Members vying to "Win Their Way In" to the main tournament for just $5! A full entry was awarded to Norris Montague and a $35 partial entry went to Guy Hirsimaki. On a brisk Saturday afternoon we had 29 entries with 6 Members sharing in $1,337.00 paid out on the "Cash List". TheProgressive Pot increased nicely since the eventual winner was not in the Pot, the second place winner was in for $20 and third place winner was in for $10. The 9-Tap Jackpot was not threatened and has climbed to $3,020.00.
Richard Read II set the score to beat at 983 in the first squad. Dennis Huston was not far behind with his 932 series. Bringing up the rear in third place was Guy Hirsimaki with a 929. Both Dennis and Guy opted to re-enter to try and unseat Richard who had to go to his job at Springs Preserve. Guy improved buy a pin with a 930. When it came down to the last squad, a couple of bowlers had a chance to break up the Top 3 but fell short in their efforts. Richard picks up his first Tour Title and a nice check in the amount of$400.00. Dennis gets a nice runner up finish and takes home$303.00. Last but not least, Guy takes third place for $171.00. Richard Read II joined the Tour at our inaugural tournament on January 23, 2016. Cheered on by his Mom and friends Wayne and fellow Tour Member, Guy Hirsimaki, Richard used his Storm Optimus Solid to bowl his winning score. He was excited to win and wishes to thank the Tour staff for running an awesome tournament. Richard enjoys movies and music in his off time from his job at Springs Preserve. Way to go Richard!
