 It was great fun yesterday at Red Rock Lanes being able to watch all the football games while bowling the 9-Tap Tour. Our Crazy 8s winner this week was Norris Montague with Ken James coming in second place. 6 Members made the "Cash List" sharing in the$1.835.00 paid out! Leon Pitcher was the only one getting tapped as he got $50.00 from the 9-Tap Jackpot for his 3 Taps and leaving a very nice balance of $3,010.00 for next week's tournament!
Leon Pitcher started off the day by posting a very nice 999 series. Not too far behind was Derrick Chan with his very solid 969 set. Going into the second squad, Bruce Smith found his "mojo" and topped the Leaderboard with an AWESOME 1110 score. While that high number might have discouraged some to bowl the last squad, it did not. Both Ken James and Okbum Shin shook up the lower half of the board. Ken bested his earlier score to move up a spot and Okbum found his way to a 5th place cash. Once the final tabulation was completed Bruce pocketed a very nice $629.00 for his efforts and a red shirt for his second career 9-Tap Tour Title! Leon added$383.00 to his career earnings and a few more BOY points to extend his lead over Troy Rawling. Derrick wound up in 3rd place taking home a COOL $242.00. Congratulations to Bruce and everyone else on the "Cash List".
Bruce Smith got in the zone early utilizing his Black Hammer drilled up by Keith Boyd at K&K Pro Shop at Gold Coast. Commenting this was
 the first time he had put together 4 good games, Bruce said he felt very relaxed. His winnings are going towards a trip to England. Bruce has worked at Scientific Games for 21 years and enjoys going fishing when he can find the time. Congratulations Bruce on Title #2 and enjoy that trip across the pond! |
