Wrap Up

On FIRE is the only way to describe it.  And I'm not talking about how hot is was outside in Vegas.  While our entry count of 50 was not so hot, those that made the trip to Suncoast lit up the lanes yesterday.  Ten Members found their way on to the 'Cash List' enjoying their share over $3,700.00paid out.  While the scores were outside the norm, a closer look at the top ten reveals that 50% had single digit handicaps and the other half had double digit handicaps. This illustrates that even when the lanes conditions are on the easy side anybody has a chance at the Title.  After weeks of competition without anything higher than 4 taps being accomplished, Tony Madolora had a 'Golden Shot' opportunity to win over $2,400.00.

Spoiler alert........Tony did not convert but he did get $500.00 for his 6 Taps in a row and a FREE membership to Lasvegasadvisor.com

along with a coupon book valued at over $3,500.00.  Even though the Jackpot took a hit, it still remains above $2k at $2,703.00.  The trend continues for the Pro Pot as the Top 3 were all in for the full amount leaving a balance of$899.00 for next week.

While the first squad of the day found 7 members topping the 1000 mark,Al Garcia was the only one to break 1100 with his IMPRESSIVE 1115series.  Al told me he was going to sit out the second round and see if his score would hold up.  Fortunately, no one in the second squad challenged his score as only 3 bowlers found the 1000 threshold.  Al decided against a last squad re-entry and took his chances.  Unfortunately for Al, two bowlers made a run at him.  Joshua Marlo, shot an AWESOME 1156 series andTony Madolora, looking for his second title, bowled a GREAT 1135 set.  Joshua would take down his first Tour Title and a NICE check for$1,020.00 while Tony added $458.00 to his $500.00 Jackpot cash for a PAYDAY OF $958.00 and Al would pocket $319.00 for his 3rd place finish.  AWESOME BOWLING BY ALL!  Congratulations!

Joshua Marlo took up the sport of bowling only 7 months ago.  He naturally took to a two-handed delivery and then saw PBA member JasonBelmonte (a two-handed bowler) on TV and really became serious about bowling.  He joined the Tour back in March at the ripe old age of 18.  Using the ever more popular two handed delivery among today's youth bowlers and armed with his Pitch Black bowling ball drilled up by Johnny Petraglia, Jr at JB Bowling Supply, Joshua commented he found the all important 'ZONE' in his re-entry.  Coming off a 4th place finish last week and being cheered on by his proud parents, Joshua had the confidence he needed to win his first Tour Title.  He thanks the Tour staff for their support.  We thank you Joshua for choosing to support the sport of bowling and for joining the Tour and we wish you continued success as your game continues to improve.  Congratulations on your title and enjoy the new equipment you plan to buy with your winnings!
