 Crazy 8s continues to be a success. This time around we had 9 entrants with 3 Members making the finals. Ken James, Jim Eckerson and Leon Pitcher took to the lanes and after just 3 rounds of competition, Ken came away with a $60 entry for a $15 investment as he reentered two times. Leon took 2nd place for $15.00 toward his entry. Don't miss out on the Crazy 8s fun next week at Wildfire, we will start at 11am!
The FINDLAY NORTH VW VETERANS DAY TOURNAMENT was a great success. Our US Service Members had some great $$$ to shoot for thanks to money from our title sponsor, Findlay North Volkswagen, and two other contributing sponsors; Dr. Donald J. Farr, DDS and Wally Fellman, Realtor. The Vets High Hdcp Game Pot had $820.00 in it at the end of the day and paid 4 spots. Donald Jones on active duy, took 1st and 3rd for $430.00 and $115.00 respectively. He had a 317 and 284 in two separate squads allowing him to cash twice. 2nd Place went to Michelle Scheitzach, Vet, she took home $215.00 for her 286 game. Ken James,Ret, pocketed $60.00 for his 278 game in 4th place. Congratulations to our winners and thank you to all our Vets for your service!

Chris Sharpe donated a very cool Veterans Day t-shirt to
 the winner of the Jackpot. The first two squads could only muster 2 No-Taps but at the end of the last squad we had not one but two Members get 3 No-Taps. Chris was gracious to award both winners a shirt! Thanks Chris for your support as a Vet as well! Our Winners were Al Slivka and Robert Rawlings.Sam's Town Bowling Center got a little upgrade with some awesome new carpet a couple weeks ago. The Tour always appreciates the red carpet being rolled out for us. Thanks to Tom, Manager, and Travis at the front desk for taking care of the Tour in grand fashion. With 51 entries this week, the 'Cash List' had 10 Members at the end of the day. The scoring was TIGHT to say the least! Michelle Scheitzach set the bar early with her 954 series. Her score went unchallenged thru Squad Two, however, the last squad of the day brought on more than a few challengers. Donald Jonesposted a 955 to take the lead only to learn that Greg Mamac bested him by just a pin with a 956. Greg wins his second Title this year, cashing for $821.00 and becomes our latest Two Time Tour Champion. Donald gets paid $378.00 for his 2nd place effort and Michelle takes home $264.00 in 3rd place. Awesome bowling! Way to go!
Greg Mamac finished out his set with a strong 246 scratch game to secure his win. Also in the lead for Bowler of the Year, Greg wanted to win to
 increase his lead with one week to go in the BOY competition. Using his Special Ops ball drilled by Jon Burroughs at JB Bowling Supply in Henderson, he was able to do just that. Greg plans to use his winnings on more bowling equipment and he would like to thank those who were cheering him on. Congrats Greg! See you next week at Wildfire as you try to lock up Bowler of the Year honors! |
