Wrap Up
WOW, what an incredible start to the 2nd Half of the season.  We had a huge turnout of 180 bowlers show up this weekend at Secoma Lanes, creating a HUGE Cash List 36 Members.  So far, this was largest one-day Singles turnout this year, nice job everyone!  Before I start, with Rob, Margie and Shellie on IR with Covid, I'd like to thank Jason, Donnie and Joyce for SAVING THE DAY by filling in and helping to make Saturday such a smooth running Tournament.  The scoring pace was very close to being perfectly 'on-target', with only series over the 1000 mark and a low-to-cash of just 884

With the 9-Tap Jackpot at a nice $4,604.00 and the Middle-7 Taps in-play, many bowlers took a run at claiming that $500.00 prize.  Brian Peters finished with 6 in-a-row but fell short because he ran out of frames.  William Kenny and James Black, both had strings of SIX Taps going, but James Black's luck ran out by throwing a perfect strike.  William's attempt at #7 was more dramatic and quite heartbreaking, as his shot went Brooklyn leaving the pin standing, but as the sweep came down, a pin rolled forward knocking $500.00 right out of his grasp as the 3-pin fell.

At the end of day, Eddie Burdsall did manage to finish a game with SEVEN straight Taps, taking a $500.00 payday from the Jackpot.  Sadly, we didn't get Eddie's shot on video.

Besting his previous highest finish of 3rd place, William Kenny earned his first Career Championship this weekend with a BIG score.  Firing with his Personal Best series of 1093William ran away with the Tournament this week, by shooting 62 pins above his previous best.  He finished with a huge 47 pin margin of victory over 2nd Place, using his Roto Grip UC3, drilled by Robert Kelly at Secoma Lanes.  His victory was worth a hefty $2,055.00, far out pacing his total winnings from his 10 previous checks on the TourCOMBINED.  He plans to use the proceeds from his Big Payday to make further investment into his 1976 Mustang (a man after my heart... fixing old classic cars).

Will Twyman took 2nd Place this week for his FOURTH Top-3 finish this year.  Firing his best set this year, a very nice 1046Will even topped his 1041 series shot while earning his first Title at HiJoy earlier this year.  Will has been on a nice Hot Streak and he may pick-up enough Bowler of the Year points to crack the Top 10 and join his good friend Adam Hamlet.  Will takes home a sweet check of $935.00 for his fine effort this week.

Taking 3rd Place at Secoma was Adam Steen, who nearly accomplished every P.B. you could think of.  The newcomer who joined the Tour in March, fired his best series, game and his highest finish, all in one entry.  Firing a great 1044 series was enough to earn him his largest check at $499.00.  Great shooting Adam, could be the start of great times.
