For the 4th time in 5 weeks, we had another first time Champion, when Jenny Nguyen came through with a Superstar finish.  Since joining the Tour in 2021, Jenny had 22 Tournament entries (88 games), but only shot 200 games FIVE times, never more than once in an entry.  That changed Saturday when she put together 200s THREE times out of her 4 games.  She topped her previous Personal Best series by an ENORMOUS 105 pins, propelling her to her very first Top 5 finish a BIG ONE.  Jenny says she did not realize she was in the running, but the bowlers on her pair knew she was close as they cheered her on after each shot.  It came down to the last two frames, where she needed to DOUBLE to clinch the Title.  Jenny struck in the 9th and in the 10th she buried it in the pocket for a natural strike to pull out the Win like a Champ!  She had no explanation for how she found the 'Zone' on her re-entry, or did the Zone find her?  Jenny used her Brunswick Zen Master, drilled by Norm Giannusa at Daffodil's Vinnies Pro Shop, and blistered the lanes with her huge 1092 series.  Jenny says she plans to use some of her extra-large winnings of $2,535.00, to keep her funded to bowl on the Tour. 

In 2nd, shooting his Personal Best score was three time Winner Kannha Tong.   Firing a beautiful 1077 series in the first squad, Kannha had a huge lead of 117 pins over Peter Davis's 960, in 2nd Place at the time.  Kannha just got hot, improving in each game, firing a Monster set without the need of a huge game (252 scr. was his high).  Kannha gets a huge 2nd place check of $1,114.00, making it two weeks in-a-row that 2nd topped $1,000.00.   

Re-entering in the last squad, Joe Fincher also got hot, firing a really nice 1025 series to finish in 3rd Place this weekend.  The three time Winner on the Tour just could not find the range in his third squad entry, but proved you can get hot on your second attempt.  Joe fired a huge 298 final game to get him close to the Title and takes home another large $567.00 check, making it his 3rd Top 3 finish in the last 5 weeks.
