Another Big Thanks to Narrows Plaza Bowl & Chris's team for helping to make yet another big tourney a huge success!
 
An additional 49 entries for Sunday brought the total for the weekend to 172 which made room for 34 total on the Cash List with five bowlers taking advantage of their 'Last Chance' opportunity to crack the Top 16 for the finals!
 
 
Congratulations again to Earl Kleist who collected $6,764.00 Sunday for hitting the 9-Tap Jackpot on Friday evening!
 
 
Greg Burdsall fired off an outstanding 1087 to win Sunday's Storm ball giveaway, joining Andrew Scalf  & Willie Manning, Jr. from earlier in the tourney!

Sunday's Sweet Sixteen Bracket Finals had some incredible matches! The feature match pitted Willie Manning, Jr. -vs- Bill Jones where it came down to a scratch 278 from Jones to Manning's 277!  In the Elite Eight, Shawn Evans barely managed to edge Greg Burdsall 202-200, Jones knocked Leon Bemis out in another good one, 274-256 while with that exact same score of 274-256, Vyron Kuver beat the weekend's Top Qualifer, Andrew Scalf.  Scalf had a pretty decent weekend as he collected the $200 bonus AND the Storm ball for being the TQ for Thursday & Friday, he'll also received the prestigious Top Qualifier jacket! 
 
Speaking of the Top Qualifier jacket, AT LONG LAST mainly because Covid-19, we were finally able to present Brian Selck with his jacket from when he was TQ in Las Vegas back in January!  Brian has asked us about this jacket A LOT and we're glad to finally get it to him!
 
 
In the Final Four matchups, Zac Clute got off to a tough start against Mr. Kuver, but came all the way back as everyone who was watching thought that he had the win, only to find out that Vyron held on for a slim 246-245 win!  In the other Semifinal, Jones and Evans limped to a 190-183 finish with Jones making his way to the final.

The Final pitted senior league teammates, Jones & Kuver and when the dust settled, Jones came out with the 238-197 victory!
 
 
Bill Jones has been battling for years to get his title for well over NINE years and it couldn't have come at a better time considering the $2,205.00 check that comes with!  Bill has knocked on the door many, MANY times with multiple runner-ups along with multiple Top 5's and this week he qualifed with an impressive 977 and despite the fact that he was extremely fatigued, he was able to DIG DEEP within himself to squeak out the win over his friend, Vyron. 
 
Bill had his wife, Dotty at home cheering him on along with a couple of his friends rooting for him.  Many of you may know Dotty as she's handled the shirt embroidery for us for many years.  Now she gets to make a REAL champion's shirt for Bill!
 
Bill's an avid bowler & golfer and said he plans to save the majority of his winning's, but will no doubt treat himself to some golf at Washington National!  Bill expresses his thanks to everyone and wanted us to know that his win comes on his son's 42nd birthday!

And finally...All checks that were not issued Sunday will be mailed out asap!  There were a couple of checks that were issued and may not match the winning amount shown below.  If this is the case for you, we will be correcting it asap!
