We had very positive response from our bowlers for this format, which was intended to limit the Covid exposure for bowlers and staff alike.  The turnout was FANTASTIC, exceeding all of our expectations with 168 Entries and paying an incredible 34 spots on the Cash List.  We saw a little of everything over the 5 days of this event... a near Natural 300 game by Thang Thai on Wednesday... then Zac Clute topped that by getting ALL TWELVE real strikes for a Natural 300 on Friday.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

We saw lots of BIG games all week, but with most bowlers feeling more than a bit 'rusty', it was hard to string 4 strong games together.  The 9-Tap Jackpot wasn't seriously threatened, although Thang put a scare into 7-Middle Taps.  Ashley Kochel & Steve Ryan each collected a nice $150.00 cash for their 4 Taps.

       

 

Earl Kleist had a spectacular week, taking the early lead on Wednesday with a 1006... loosing the lead to Dan Grass's 1027 on Thursday... then re-taking the lead on Friday with his sweet 1043.  We offered a 'Weekday Leader' Bonus of $200.00, so Earl earned that too.  Tong Nguyen (2nd) came the closest to unseating Earl over the weekend, coming just 9 pins short with his strong 1034.  The experienced veterans dominated the top of the Leader Board, with Earl earning his 12th Career Title.  Ironically, Tong was going for his 12th Title also, while Dan was looking for his 4th.  Earl's $2,096.00 Winner's share and $200 Bonus, pushed his Tour earnings total to a massive $66,424.00... we won't mention that Earl has the record as largest earner from the 9-Tap Jackpot, which isn't included in that total.

It was GREAT seeing everyone again!  We'll be meeting this week, to determine what we do next, Tournament wise.  So stay tuned...
