A week after the Tour's first ever weather related cancellation, we were back in action at Kenmore Lanesfor our Best 3 of 4 format on Saturday.  As promised, because we were over 100 entries, we did add some extra cash to the prize fund to push the winner's check to$2,000.00 as there were 104 total entries and because of a tie in the last cash spot, we added a 22nd bowler to the Cash List.

Pictured above, we presented Leon Bemis with the 8th Star on his Champion's jersey and then we gave Thang Duc Thai his Dexter shoes for finishing 2nd to his brother, Huyen in the 2018 Bowler of the Year race.  

Besides Gary Hunt's finishing a game with the final six 9 taps and running out of frames, nobody came close regarding the 9-Tap Jackpot as Thanh Ament was all alone on the day with the front four taps, earning himself$100.00.  The Jackpot gained more strength and now sits at $6,787.00 as we head to Daffodil Bowl next week for the first time since October! 

The story of the day were The Tong Brother's (Kannha, Kris & Kare) as they 'teamed' up for a very impressive performance, bowling together and occupying the top three spots with Donna Columbo and Kare tied in the 3rd spot at 772 as the 1st Squad came to an end. Skip ahead to the Final Squad, they all held their spots, but Don Moseng was charging hard as he posted 244, 289 and 286 to jump ahead of all of them...all of them except for Kannha whose 876 series was too much to overcome. When the dust settled, Kannha was 1st with Don 2nd at 819, Kris 3rd at 813 and Kare & Donna in 4th.

Shout outs to Tasha Cunningham who finished 11th for her first Tour Cash List appearance while the aforementioned Gary Hunt finished 8th for his first singles Tourney Cash! 

It had been nearly seven years since we'd seen Don Moseng on Tour and we hope to see more of him as his 2nd Place finish earned him $670.00 with just $10 in the Progressive Pot.  Kris Tong's 3rd Place finish was his best on Tour since joining just over a year ago, he earned$433.00 while Kare & Donna's 4th Place pocketed them$208.00 each! 

Our now 2-Time Champ, Kannha Tong hasn't even beenbowling for two years, after joining back in 2017 he's come a LONG way and he's improved immensely, earning his first title back in November at Secoma Lanes, then recently in Las Vegas, he bowled great, finishing tied for 5th.Kannha wanted to thank his brother's as well as his whole family, specifically calling out Kris, Kare, Sam, Tom, Ethan, Evan, Coach Ron Hoppe and a special shout out to Patrick Dennis. He added "I felt good during practice so stayed with what felt good."  Kannha strictly used his Storm 'Pitch Black', drilled by Hoppe and wore his Dexter 'The 9' shoes.  The $2,000.00check will go straight to savings!  Congrats Kannha!
