It was just a week or so ago when we found out that, due to a scheduling issue, we had to move our visit to Bowlero-South Seattle (Acme) from Saturday to Sunday. We did our best to get the word out and even heard that a couple of bowlers still showed up to bowl on Saturday...Oops! 

Not knowing what to expect in terms of bowler turnout, we were pleasantly surprised to have 105 entries and  21 bowlers on the cash list!  Because scoring was pretty low for our last visit when we had an 871 cut-line, the Tour 'tweaked' the oil pattern slightly in an attempt to improve those scores.  As it turned out, the 'tweak' changed things, but only slightly as the cut-line was 885 this time. We always wish for our bowlers to have an enjoyable experience when bowling with us and we realize when scoring is lower, it can affect that experience negatively.  We'll do our best to (again) adjust the pattern for our next visit to Bowlero-South Seattle and want to be clear that the lower scoring was OUR fault and NOT the bowling center's. 

Last week, Huyen Thai made his attempt for the 'Middle 7' taps, earning himself $750.00...This week, Huyen had another shot at the 'M7', but this time his 7th shot left a nasty split!  Vu Nguyen & Lisa Seifert both earned $100.00 from the Jackpot by hitting the 'Front 4' as the Jackpot jumped back over the $8k mark for next week at Narrows Plaza Bowl. 

You'll recall that Justin Miller earned his first Tour title a couple of weeks ago shooting his personal best score...We weren't kidding when we said "When you're hot, you're hot!" as with 12 less pins of handicap than before, not only was he one of the only bowlers to solve the mystery of Saturday's oil pattern, Justin bettered his career best by 53 pins with a 1047 series!  More on Justin below...

 Jon Schneider also figured things out on Saturday, in fact, he went into his last game needing just a 211 game to tie Justin for the title, which would've been his 10th win on tour! Unfortunately for Jon, he went on to shoot 193 in that last game, finishing 2nd, earning $709.00, just ahead of Oscar Gestoso who shot 982 which was 3rd for $439.00.  

Two weeks ago, Justin wasn't in the Progressive Pot so his first place check was $1,000.00, this time however, he DID invest in pot and more than doubled his check to $2,046.00!  His plans for the money didn't change though as he says "It's going in the bank for now!"  Justin was quick to thank his Mom, Christina for rooting him on and he said "I was in the zone, very excited and nervous, especially when I had eight strikes in a row in that third game!"  He added "I am thankful for the 9-Tap Tour and their tournaments.  This is truly a game that ANYONE can get hot and win at!"  Congratulations again, Justin!
