9-Tap Tour - Puget Sound                          September 9th, 2018 

After rebounding from a sluggish start, turnout at Skyway Park Bowl wound up over 100 as we had 104 entries with scoring right on target with a 934 Cut-Line and 21 bowlers making their way to the Cash List. 

The 9-Tap Jackpot again found itself in jeopardy when who other than Andy Snow hit the front six with a shot at $2,228.00 if he

 could convert the 7th 9-tap...Take a look at the video to see the outcome.  Andy along with Earl Kleist have both hit the Jackpot multiple times in the past and it was just a month ago when Andy earned $6,265.00.  On Saturday Earl threw a 300 game which earned him an extra $155.00 from the scratch pot and in that game he had the 'Middle 7' 9-taps.  Luckily for us, our Floor Director,Donnie Roberts was on the spot getting this photo of Earl's game!  Also worth mentioning, Huyen Thai had the front 5 taps and on his sixth shot we're still wondering how he left the 3-5 for an 8-count to stop his 9-tap streak! Andy wound up collecting $500.00 for his front six.

Skyway Specialist Ajay Jarata was one of three to break 1000 this week as he collected $450.00 for 3rd Place, just edging out Joel Brown's (996) for the podium position. Thang Duc Thai, also a Skyway Specialist shot 1041 for 2nd Place and was going for his 4th Title at Skyway alone, Thang earned $940.00 as he cracked the $30k mark for Career Earnings. Red Hot Tong Nguyen who shot 986 for 6th Place was in GREAT position to win his 5th Title at Skyway only to have an 'off' final game. 

The story of the day has to be Charles McDonald...Not sure if we've ever seen anyone so excited to win, but Charles was over the moon when we told him that he'd done it!  On his way to his 1st Title, Mr. McDonald shot a 1048 series with some of the best bowling we've ever seen from him.  His Roto Grip 'Neptune' ball was rolling very nicely as he said "I've been practicing really hard for weeks and I didn't think I made it on top.  I was not nervous while bowling, it was after I was done as I waited for the final results when I was extremely nervous."  He added "I would like to thank my Mom (Lynne) and StepDad (Richard) for supporting me and also want to thank Aunt Sandra and my Nana (Lola) & Granpa (Ken)."  

Charles is a busy man with work and bowling, where over the past couple of years he's bowled in leagues at Pacific, Tower, Paradise, Bowlero & Daffodil!  He said that he'll put his $1,551.00 in winnings straight into the bank for savings. Finally, Charles wanted to give a shout out to all of the "very nice" people at his work and on the 9-Tap Tour as he said "It's been a BLAST!"
