Ladies 'ruled-the-roost' at Roxbury Bowl, capturing the Title, along with 4 of the Top 10 Cash spots this week.  For the 3rd week in-a-row (including Las Vegas), the Tour produced a First-Time Champion.  That makes an impressive 20 Rookie Champs this year and with the Win, another bowler earned a spot in the Year-End Championship coming in two weeks.  The 9-Tap Jackpot continued to grow ($7,355.00), despite Vu Nguyen's tapping the Jackpot for $250.00 with his front 5-Taps, causing easily the loudest 'group moan' of the day, when he carried a real strike in the 6th frame.  Next week's Final Tournament of the 2015 regular season, will also get a BIG boost from the Progressive Pot, which had a healthy carryover from two $10 Pot entries. 

 

Jeannierose Tabulina was one of the Tour's early pioneers, joining on 6/8/2002 (#138), our first year of operation.  Over the years, Jeannierose has always been involved with the Tour, though there have been times when she wasn't able tobowl.  Lately, her Grandkids have taken much of her time... a few years back, an auto accident kept her out for a while and when she returned, she had to learn to bowl left handed for a few years... often over the years, she has also run the Tour Bracket Table.  So, although she may not have bowled as often as she'd like, Jeannierose has done well when she could bowl.  Of her numerous Top 5 finishes, TWICE she was in position to Win, only to be 'nosed-out' at the last minute, by two other Tour Pioneers. First it was Char Patton (Member #1) who snuck by her, then in 2005 at Skyway, Tong Nguyen (#100) bumped her down to 2nd Place.  Those previous experiences help to explain her 'anxiety' during the last squad, while she waited to see if her score held up.  THIRTEEN AND A HALF YEARS after joining, her score did hold up, and JEANIEROSE is a Tour CHAMPION... finally!!!  Every Tour veteran in the building was nearly as excited as she was!   $10 in the Progressive Pot held her payout down to $1,437.00.  But, she was quite excited to have some extra cash for the Holidays for the Kids & Grandkids.  She used her 'Black Widow' for her BIG Win.  Jeannierose has so many friends on the Tour, that she couldn't thank them all... but she did offer thanks to her lane mates David Kim, Kathy Johnson, and newcomers Mike Doty & Anthony Sanders from Port Angeles.  GREAT JOB Jeannierose!!

 

Bob Berryman held the early lead with a strong 850 and looked like he might have enough for his 3rd Career Title. That would usually be enough to pull out the Win, but Jeannierose had other ideas, turning the table on someone else this time.  Bob's consolation of $864.00 should help soothe the wound a little.  In 3rd Place, was a very excited Raye Stevenson, earning $339.00 for her best ever finish.  She reached that mark by shooting her Personal Best series by a huge 35 pins.
