Kent Bowl - Kent, WA
September 5th/6th, 2015

Total Paid Out: $12,721.00

Wrap Up
Big Turnout & Huge Payouts were only part of the story for the
CR Boger/Miller Lite 2015 3rd Quarter Championship at Kent Bowl on Saturday.  With a HUGE 166 Entries, 33 Bowlers made their way to a Cash List which provided 2015's Largest Payout of $12,721.00, including the year's BIGGEST 1st & 2nd Place Checks!

Saturday's Three Squads produced 21 (7 each) of the 33 Finalists as LeFear RichardsonMichael Leemoui & Willie Manning all earned 1st Round Bye's for Sunday's Finals.  Richardson was the Top Saturday Qualifier as he fired Saturday's lone 1000 series with a 1010.  As you can see in the photo, LeFear was pretty happy with his reward, a brand new Storm 'Optimus'ball.  Congrats, LeFear!

                      LeFear Richardson
As  we've learned to expect at Kent, there were several assaults on the 9-Tap Jackpot on both days but with his Uncle (Bruce Gorr) sitting in the lead by hitting the 'Front 5' on SaturdayAlex Jazbec showed up on Sunday, hit the 'Middle 7' taps, stealing Uncle Bruce's $250.00 and doubling it to$500.00 for himself.  As we went to press on Monday morning, there was no word on whether or not this created any bad blood in the family...

Alex Jazbec                                        Jazbec & Mike Tobin
With the $500.00 already in his pocket, Jazbec wasn't satisified as he went on to shoot Sunday's Best Qualifying score of 1044, earning himself the 7" Android thanks to Mike Tobin from Command Computers as well as the 9-Tap Tour Jacket for being the Weekend Top Qualifier. Way to go, Alex!

Sunday's Finals proved very exciting as several bowlers caught fire and some of them ran into others who were even hotter!  There were numerous VERY close match-ups which left some VERY worthy competitors out of the next rounds.  For example, Matias Oriza ousted Willie Manning 255-244 when Willie had just shot a 300 game in the previous round.  Dan Peroalso ousted an equally HOT Cal Fisher 251-246...

Glen Brown & Matias Oriza shared 3rd Place, each earning hefty $469.00checks.  Glen came close to his 1st Title AGAIN, with his FOURTH 3rd Place finish to go with a 2nd and TEN Top 10 finishes!  Matias was chasing his 2nd Title and his 1st of 2015. This is his Very Impressive 19th Career Top 10 Finish!

Dan Pero originally joined The Tour WAYYY back in 2002, just after it all began.  Prior to this week, his best finish had been a 2nd Place at HiLineLanes back in 2007, then he was away from The Tour for around 8 years before returning earlier this year.  Since his return, this is easily his best pay day as he earned $1,075.00.  Well done, Dan!

What else can be said of Magic Bristol that he hasn't already said abouthimself?  Mired in a self described "Epic Slump" which pushed his Bonus pin count to 4, Magic erupted this weekend and returns to the Winner's Circle for the first time since 2013, earning himself his 3rd Career Title and the White Champion's Shirt.  Mr. Bristol won some Very tough Head to Head matches on his way to the Title but saved his Best Game (272) for the Final Match!  Magic loves to bowl at his 'Home House', Kent Bowl, where he has shown a lot of success over the years.  He used his DV8 'Thug Unruly'ball, drilled by Daffodil Bowl's Matt Surina and says that he and his Top supporter, Pam Sims will use the $2,638.00 Winner's Share to go to Reno to bowl in a Storm Tournament in October.  Among those cheering Magic on were Pam, friends Bill & Dotty Jones along with Bruce Gorr & Kathy Johnson.  Magic wanted to also thank the 9-Tap Tour and its Members for "Believing in me".  Congratulations, Magic!
