Wrap Up
Thanks Skyway for the Special 1/2 price menu... Great Food!  Thanks to the Hawks for a GREAT game!  Thanks to all the Members who joined us for the game... Great Company!!  To Top it all... A Memorable and Sentimental day at Skyway!

Only TWO bowlers managed to reach the 1000 mark Saturday.  82 year oldJudy Buchanan and the 'Yakima Gang' made the trek over the mountains despite the weather.  Judy shot an amazing 1056 and at the time, we thought she'd be in 1st Place as the 'gang' dashed out the door.  On one ofthe other 1st squad pairs, finishing a few minutes later, Champion Wess Hall Jr was spinning a gem of his own.  Like Champions do, Wess finished strong with his two highest games coming in games 3 & 4.  Pretty incredible to shoot your Career Best series (1075) at age 87!!!  Wess has come close several times over the years and EVERY time that he's come-up short, he's told me that, he's gonna Win a Tournament one of these days.  Well Wess... YOU FINALLY DID IT and everybody was absolutely ecstatic for you!  Amazingly, his HUGE$2,639.00 Winner's check seemed totally secondary, to the 'check mark' that he got to put on his 'Bucket List'.  To say that he was excited would be an understatement.  Wess used his 'Blue Hammer' drilled by Pat Johns at HiLine Bowl, for his 1st Title.  After two years of 80+ year old ChampionsLeon Bemis & Stu Gallagher battling back and forth, for the 'Oldest Champion' record, now Wess has raised that bar by a bunch of years.  WAY TO GO WESS... CONGRATS!!

In 2nd Place, youngster Judy Buchanan was bowling well and needed one more solid game to crack 1000 and have a shot at her first Title.  All she did in the clutch, was shoot the highest game of her Career, finishing with an unbelievable scratch 251 game, for her 1056 series.  In 3rd Place, the 'kid-on-the-blockEarl Kleist  shot an excellent 995 to earn a nice $578.00, boosting his Career Earnings to $37,419.00.
