Secoma Lanes - Federal Way, WA
June 21st, 2014

Total Paid Out: $8,192.00

Wrap Up
Saturday at Secoma Lanes provided another very nice turnout as there were 139 entries and 28 Members making their way to the Cash List with an impressive NINE scoring over 1,000.  Dane Clement opened the day by firing a 300 game which included an impressive TEN 9-Taps!  As you can see by the image below, the only two non 9-Taps were on his 2nd and 11th shots.  Super game, Dane!

Paul Bitzer shot an awesome 1,075 which is his biggest series since earning his 2nd Tour Title back in 2012.  This was Paul's 3rd 2nd Place Finish of the year which includes a Runner-up finish in the Dad's Day event last week at Kent Bowl.  In addition to the $911.00 earned for 2nd Place, Bitzer took home additional $220.00 for posting the high scratch game AND series.Great perfomance, Paul!  Bruce Gorr was after his 2nd Title AND his partner, Kathy Johnson's earlier posted 1,031 score when he fired a1,051.  This earned Bruce 3rd Place, good for a $497.00 check.  Nice bowling coming from that household this weekend!  As the Final Squad progressed, the 9-Tap Jackpot consolation had a five-way tie with 3-Taps when, out of nowhere, Joe Miller broke through by throwing five straight taps earning himself the $100.00 consolation prize.  As the Tour enters our annual Summer Break, the 9-Tap Jackpot increased to $1,816.00 while the Progressive Pot is at $2,350.00 for our next Tournament at Narrows Plaze Bowl on July 12th.

It's safe to say that this week's Champ, Jason Laridon is on FIRE!!!Shooting an outstanding 1,091 (his personal best by a HUGE 159 pins!!!) not only won him another Title, your memory doesn't have to be too good to know that it's his 2nd Title in as many weeks as he also won last week with his Doubles partner, Gerry Daus.  With this win and its accompanying$2,027.00 pay check, Jason has individually earned over $2,500.00 in two weeks alone which will come in very handy on an upcoming trip to Mexico with his wife, Cathy!  Laridon and Daus are good friends and are very competitive according to Cathy.  Typically and in the past, Jason and Gerry do not enter the Progressive or Winner's Pot as was the case last week when they won.  This week, however Jason decided on the spur of the moment as he signed in that he was feeling luck and opted to go for the Progressive Pot but didn't tell Gerry because he didn't want to "force any added pressure".  As Jason put it..."It paid off!!!"  He used his 15 pound Storm 'Zero Gravity' ball drilled at Secoma Lanes by Robert Kelly and gives a lot of credit for his recent success and sends a special thanks to Robert, Marty and the coaches at Secoma's Bowling Boot Camp Clinics which are ran there from time to time.  (For more information on these clinics or lessons you can call the Secoma Lanes Pro Shop).  How hot is Jason?  Impressively, during his run to the title, Jason not only needed to overcome the loss of 16 total pins handicap (4 per game, due to his win last week) he also needed a huge 272 game to take over the Tournament lead from Bitzer when he "calmly" fired a 287 to get the job done.  Great bowling, Jason & Congratulations!

Happy Birthday to Rick Marchu, who bowled with us on his Saturday(which was actually his Birthday!!) and made his first of hopefully many visits to the Cash List!

A special thanks to all of our Tour Members who are bowling in this coming week's Pro-Am at Secoma Lanes.  If you're still looking to bowl in that event, please contact Secoma for more details.

Finally, as we go on our annual Summer Break, we'd like to extend to everyone a special invite to Skyway Park Bowl, where they're holding a Singles 9-Pin No Tap Tournament next Saturday, June 28th at 3:00 PM.  please contact Skyway Park Bowl for more details.
