Narrows Plaza Bowl provided plenty of excitement this week with aturnout of 117 Members making for some great competition and some impressive scoring along with a Cash List of 23 bowlers.  The Cut-Line was 941 which is slightly above normal.  SEVEN bowlers cracked the 1000 mark this week, with TWO firing 999's.  The Final Squad provided noshortage of excitement with the 9-Tap Jackpot nearly getting hit by John Nissen, then an inspired run at a REAL Perfect Game by Osmond Green followed by a shootout for the title.  Nissen hit the front SIX 9-Taps but threw a REAL (perfect) strike on his 7th shot, bringing a HUGE roar by everyone (see videobelow).  Not to worry, John still took home a cool$500 for his troubles!  But wait, there's MORE!  On the same pair, in the same game as Nissen's feat, Green made his run at perfection as he reeled off 9 real strikes to start the game but just missed on his 10th shot (see video below).  Great run, Osmond!  The Progressive Potnow stands at $2,213.00 as the 9-Tap Jackpot is $3,791.00.

The early lead of 1021 was posted in the 1st Squad by New Tour Member,Matt Carlson.  Mike Ducay then overtook the lead, firing an impressive1021 in the 2nd Squad.  Mike, a tour member since 2004, looked to be in good shape for his 5th Career Title as the 3rd Squad began.  While all of the aformentioned excitement was taking place in the 3rd Squad, ChimSaechao was quietly in a battle with his Brother-In-Law, Dex DeCastro.  Chim came out on top in the end putting together the days Top Score of 1083 for his 3rd Career Title, taking home $2,384.00.  In the end, Dex, who was also going for his 3rd Career Title, posted a really nice 1042, taking 2nd Place and$1,054.00.  In addition to this being Chim's 3rd Title it is his second this year making him the Tour's First Repeat Winner of 2014.  Only 3 Members won twice in 2013.  To add to Chim's accolades,  he is also the Newest Member of the $10,000 CLUB with career earnings now at $11,941.00.  Saechao used his Storm Invasion, drilled by Ron Ishii from Imperial Lanes.  Interestingly, the ball that Chim used in his last win at HiLine Bowl in January was given to him by Dex and the ball that Dex used in his last win at Secoma Bowl in 2013 was given to him by Chim and is also the ball that he used today and finished 2nd with.  With his winnings, Chim plans to surprise his wife Laura and his baby girls to "an extravagant getaway."  Chim said that he would also like to thank Laura for her confidence in him and Dex for his support along with Narrows Plaza Bowl and the Tour for hosting the Tournament.  CONGRATS Chim on Win #3!!
