We traveled to Mt. Vernon Saturday for one of our quarterly Satellite Tournaments.  The turnout was slightly lower than expected and a small error in the lane set-up, led to some lower scoring as well.  It's not often that a series under 900 get's you on the Cash List.  But, out of the challenging conditions arose a new Western hero (For the very few that may be old enough to remember the 60s TV show "Have Gun Will Travel"), our new hero is Eric 'Paladin' Smallman.  Eric doesn't use a gun, but unfortunately he's had to use a Cane for the last several months.  This week was a storybook episode, with our hero bowling in his final Tournament before his Hip Replacement surgery, scheduled for this coming Monday.  This makes TWO Career Titles for Eric, his first coming in 2011.  Not surprisingly, he's had his struggles over the last year, so this makes his Win Saturday all the more impressive.  When Eric returns to action in October, with his second new hip, we'll watch for a new special episode of the'Return of the Bionic Man'.  His hip isn't all that will be new.  Eric plans to use some of his Winnings on a new ball, as his aging Brunswick BVD Wizard was drilled at the old Sunset Bowl.  Eric said that he also hopes to find a new job after his surgery.  That's a LOT of NEW!  CONGRATS Eric on the Win and we'll see 'the new you' soon!  Wenatchee bowler Kaylee Abel came close to Winning on her first try, joining husband Nic on the Tour this week.  Tour Veterans Roland Jarata and Rick Jack were close behind in 3rd & 4th.  Samson Ibale captured the 9-Tap JackpotConsolation for the second straight week, this time for $100.00 to add to the $500.00 he won last week.
