Wrap Up
On Wednesday we pointed out that the last three 'Best 3 of 4'Tournaments held at Narrows ended with consistent 'Cut-Lines' of 720, 720 & 719.  This week's 'Cut-Line' fell right in line, when we had a FOUR-WAY tie at 722.  We had nice scores at the Top of the Cash List as well, with 5 bowlers Topping 800.  Surprisingly, we didn't have the expected assault on the 9-Tap JackpotRichard Allison, James Black & Earl Kleist all tied with 4-Taps, sharing the Consolation Bonus this week.  The Jackpot continued to rebound, now up to $3,557.00 for Skyway's Doubles on Saturday.  The Progressive Pot was just large enough to create our 8th $2000.00 Winner ($2,008.00) in the last 9 Tournaments and it also got even bigger, growing to $2,214.00.

Gary Gerrard became the latest Tour Champion to win for the 1st Time, making an AMAZING turn-around to pull out the Win!!  Gary joined the Tour in 2011, but had his best finish (9th) just two weeks ago at Secoma.  After looking strong in warm-ups, he stumbled in the first game shooting just a 145.  He came back from the rough start, with three HUGE games to SHATTER his Personal Best series by over 100 pins, which included an Awesome 288 (332) game, also a PB by a large margin.  That's quite a comeback!  Gary described it as being totally in the "Zone".  He only slipped out of that 'Zone' momentarily, when his nerves got the better of him while he was trying to complete his first ever 300 game.  He used a Storm Tropical Heat, drilled by Robert Kelly at Secoma Lanes.  He said the $2,008.00 in Winnings would come in handy for upcoming trips planned for Vegas and Hawaii this year.  Gary also enjoys Snowboarding & playing Golf.  CONGRATS GARY on Win #1!

Earl Kleist had his best finish this year, taking 2nd Place with an AWESOME 855 that would usually be enough for a Win.  His$903.00 payday boosts his 11 year Career total to $35.727.00 and that doesn't even include his $7,700.00 Jackpot earned earlier this year.  In 3rd Place, with his Best finish, and also a Personal Best, was William Smith, who shot a nice 817.  No money in the Prog. Pot cost him some Cash, but he still pockets a nice $310.00 for his efforts.
