9-Tap Tour Tournament Results
Secoma Lanes - Federal Way, Wa April 24, 2010
Total Paid Out: $9,060.00

A SPECTACULAR turnout of 160 entries, lead to a LONG 'Cash List' of 32 Members, with a HUGE One-Day total payout of $9,060.00. Thanks to the moderate scores, everyone had a shot to either WIN IT ALL or make the Cash List which only took an 880 to reach. Naturally, the day still had it's unusual moments... Louis Catiller shot the only 300 game in the Scratch Pot, worth an extra $160, but he accomplished the feat with a strike in the 9th frame, when he DIDN'T EVEN HIT THE HEAD-PIN! Another RARE FEAT was when James Black started a game with NINE No-Taps, but hadn't entered the 9-Tap Jackpot, so he didn't collect the $2,291.00 he would have won from the Jackpot. But David Leger did manage to get a Consolation Bonus of $250.00 for his 6 No-Taps. The 9-Tap Jackpot still managed to grow to a healthy $3,156.00 for next week at Hooters Bowl. The Progressive Pot also benefited from the strong turnout growing to a BIG $2,078.00.

The Secoma Champion is first time winner Scott Holm, who continued his "Hot Streak" after having finished 2nd last week at Roxbury Bowl. It will be a while before Scott get's a change to keep the streak going. He's a 14 year Army Vet that's being deployed to Afghanistan, so this was his last Tournament a while. Quoting Scott, "It was GREAT to leave on a High Note"!! Scott had to work a little for this one, not shooting nearly as well in his first entry, he re-entered and got into that famous "Zone". His 1048 was a personal best, topping his previous best by 100 pins. The Lefty is a 'House Bowler', who shoots in Secoma's Friday night league. He said his secret was watching Norm Duke throw a 300 on TV last week and just, "Trying to bowl just like Norm". He thanks his wife Erica for her support and said the $1,997.00 winnings would go to pay bills, including her new car. He used a HAMMER ANGER, drilled by Bill at Kenmore Lanes for his win.

In 2nd Place, Karen Guilbeault had her best finish since joining the Tour a year ago. Her 1036 series was worth a nice $909.00 payday. In 3rd Tong Nguyen ended a long drought with a 1024, good for $499.00 and his 1000 scratch, earned him an extra $160 from the Scratch Pot.
