| The moderate scores all weekend were reflected in having a mere 278 game taking Top Honors in the Scratch Pot. But, those moderate scores also meant that with just a few good games, anyone could Qualify for the Finals. Just THREE bowlers Topped the 1000 mark, with George Ureche and Earl Kleist ending up TIED as the Top Qualifier's with a nice 1030 score. They agreed to 'Cut Cards' to see who would get the HAMMER "Raw Hammer Jacked" bowling ball. Guess what? They TIED again! George won the 2nd draw and he also earned the $100 Saturday Bonus, by throwing his series on Saturday. The competition in the Finals was tremendous! A number of tight Head-to-Head Matches were decided by just a few pins. But, one Match could only be described as FREAKY GREAT! In the 2nd Round of the Bracket Finals, Nelson Sand tossed the highest game shot all-day, a scratch 288, so you'd think he'd be safe... NOPE, Bill Freeland trumped that, beating Nelson with a BIGGER 297 (325 w/hdcp). 3 of the 4 Members in the semi-finals were seeking their first Tour Titles, while the 4th was looking for his first win since 2003. Dave Sisler won his 1st Tour Championship Sunday. He originally joined the Tour in 2004, bowling periodically, as his schedule allowed. Over the last year he's been able to bowl more regularly, having had his best previous finishes (a 3rd & a 4th) in that time frame. Now, he has that 1st Win under his belt and a healthy $1,968.00 check to go with it. Dave plans on using some of his winnings on getting a new ball to use at Nationals in Reno. Back in 2004, his first 9-Tap Tour Tournament was also at Roxbury Bowl, so it's only fitting that it's also the sight of his first win. Dave bowls in two Leagues at Sun Villa (Bellevue) and had his HAMMER "Mercy" drilled by Terry Rea at Robinhood Lanes in Lynnwood. His wife Karen was there to cheer him on Sunday, as she usually is. Dave enjoys bowling with his good friends and fellow 9-Tap Members, Bill Storey, Don Moseng and Ken Lindemann. CONGRATULATIONS Dave on Win #1!! In 2nd Place, Scott Holm had a GREAT showing throwing some BIG games along the way. He said the $887.00 payday was handy, one day after buying his wife a new car. Scott has all of our Prayers and Best Wishes, as he will be deployed to Afghanistan after next weeks Tournament. In a 3rd Place tie, Bill Freeland wins $387.00 after a nice run through the Bracket Finals and Curt Sanborn, with zero in the Pro Pot, takes home $280.00. Curt was the only Semi-Finalist with a prior win. Dorrie Quirante-Patrick Robbins-Curt Sanborn-Bill Freeland all shared the Jackpot Consolation this week with 4 No-Taps.
