9-Tap Tour Tournament Results
Paradise Lanes - Tacoma, Wa Jan 16, 2010
Total Paid Out: $5,918.00

Scoring got back to normal this week, hitting what we consider a perfect range of scores. 3 to 5 scores above 1000 is normal and we had 5 at Paradise, with an ideal Cut Line at 937. The STRANGEST statistic of the week... ALL of the Top 15 Finishers Saturday were looking for their 1st Tour Championship Title (singles) and only 3 of the 21 Cashers had won a Singles Title before. HALF of the total 105 Entries, showed-up for the 2:30 squad, the 53 Members made it LARGEST in over a year. We squeezed 7 bowlers per pair (one 6). If more than ONE more Member had showed up, we would have had to turn people away.

Both the Progressive Pot and the 9-Tap Jackpot got nice boosts Saturday, with the Jackpot climbing to $2,019.00 and the Progressive Pot reaching EXTRA LARGE territory at $2,091.00. Alfredo Oriza did take home $100 from the Jackpot's Consolation Bonus, with a mere 4-No Taps.

Our Paradise Champion is Dale Coleman. He not only won his FIRST Tour Title, but he SHATTERED his personal best score by a large margin doing it. Dale originally joined the Tour in 2003, and rejoined in Feb. 2007. His Top previous finish was a 12th Place, last September. All four of his games Saturday were very consistent, staying within a narrow range of 15 pins, totaling 1046. BUT, he only had $10 in the Progressive Pot, which left $479 in the Pot to pump it up for next week. Dale still had a nice haul, winning $1,479.00 for his effort. When asked what he'd do with the winnings, he said, "Give it to my wife", who was there rooting him on. Bob Hanson at Tower Lanes, drilled the AMF "Mega Friction" that Dale used for his win. Dale said that bowling with the friend he brought to join the Tour (Brandon Bushnell), actually helped him to "Not Overthink" about his own bowling. He's worked for St. Francis Hospital for the last 23 years. CONGRATULATIONS Dale on win #1!!!

In 2nd Place, Jessica Marcello came very close to making it 4 Ladies in-a-row winning at Paradise. She was actually HOTTER than Dale, but a stretch of 3 straight splits left her 6 pins short, with a GREAT 1040, good for $883.00. In 3rd, George Ureche also shot his Personal Best with a 1025, for $472.00.

NEXT WEEK: Skyway Park 12:00 - 2:30 - 5:00
PROGRESSIVE POT: $2,091.00
