WOW!!! What an amazing day at Narrows. The One-Day record set 2 weeks ago of 119 entries, got eclipsed in the 3rd squad, then soared to 145 in the extra squad. When the "Elite Division is added on, there was a total 172 entries for the day. $10,348 was paid out in the "Tour" Division alone, with prize money paid out to 30 places. The Champions share was a whooping $2,834 & $1,233 for 2nd place. The 9-Tap Jackpot got hit again, for the 3rd time in the last 4 Tournaments. This time it was Michael Nucci and he didn't stop at seven, he went on to get the first NINE No-Taps, winning $703 from the Pot. The scores were very solid week. With the entries being so high, the number of 1000 scores was also higher, with 16 this week. With 10 more new members this week, the Tour has now grown by 70 members already this year! Our thanks for all of you making this such a special event.

I would like to believe, that everyone has at least one "Midas Touch" day in their life, when EVERYTHING they touch turns to Gold. Jess Dennis had one of those days on Saturday. A 150 level bowler got into such a "Zone", that everything just seemed to go right. When he ripped off a 276 in his last game, he came back to tell us what he just shot and he had so much adrenaline in his system he couldn't stop shaking. He was so excited and wired, he couldn't stand still. He repeated several times that, "He'd NEVER done anything like this before"! I really enjoyed sharing the moment with him and I'm confident that Lisa Agagon, who rode down with him from Mt. Vernon, also enjoyed his excitement all the way home. In the end, he had outdistanced the field by 64 pins, for his first Tour Championship. He was the only member to shoot an 1100 finishing with 1150. Jess joined the Tour in October 2006 and I remember how he was unsure as to whether he could compete with all these higher average bowlers. It reinforces, that having a 'day' or an 'experience' that you will never forget, can happen to anybody on any given day. Jess sure picked a GREAT time to have his 'day'!! Congratulations Jess, from the Staff and the whole Tour!
