Without question, this has to have been the strangest day in the history of the Tour! The odds were astronomical that any one of these would happen by themself... BUT ALL THREE?!?!?!? A "Full Moon" wouldn't be nearly enough to explain this.

Wacky #1: After 16 months without the 9-Tap Jackpot (Strike Pot) being hit, it's hit again for the 2nd Tournament in a row. Ryan Baker does the honors this week, winning a nice $1,293.00 jackpot. That totals $6,071,00 paid out in the last 2 events. Congratulations Ryan!

Wackier #2: Having a tie for 1st place once every 2 or 3 years would be understandable. Our 2nd tie in 4 months is strange... but we had the Top THREE ALL FINISH WITH A 1050. What are the odds? Maybe a million to one?

Wackiest #3: ALL three "Tri-Champions", put ZERO in the Progressive Pot. We NEVER thought that would ever happen! That leaves an extra $1,449 'on the table' to carry over for next week. The Progressive Pot will be a RECORD $2,782.00 for Hillcrest next week.

With Hillcrest scheduled for the always popular "Best 3 of 4" format, we were already expecting a large turnout. Now, we think we should set a few records for turnout and payouts. Come early if you can!!!

Now for our "Wacky Winners"! All three winning their 1st Tour Championship. First, Tour Veteran Willie Downing shoots 4 solid games in the last squad for his 1050. 2nd year Tour member Kim Bigham, jumped out to a BIG lead in the 1st squad and held on for his piece of the Title. 1st year member Sararn Mang, who joined us at Tower Lanes 4 weeks ago, got the third-third of the Title. Without all three members available, no roll-off was possible. With 89 entries this week, a sole winner, fully vested in the Pro Pot would have taken home $1,806.00. With 3 Champions dividing up the prize money, they still got a respectable $527 each. They will each get their own Champion Shirts. Congratulations Willie, Kim and Sararn.
