Five for five! Tower Lanes was our 5th Tournament this year and we just crowned our 5th first time winner. Gus Ramos Jr. won with a fine 1035 winning an even finer $1326. Just to make the win a little sweeter, Gus made it a father-and-son event, with Gus III taking 6th place. He attributes the win to his son who called him on Friday and asked him to bowl. He said that he recently got 4 new balls and has been bowling better since he got them. He used his Ebonite "Infinite One" from Cory Gardners' shop at Secoma to win this one. But, he feels the real reason he won, is that he felt so relaxed this time. Gus has bowled since 1970 and participated with the 9-Tap Tour since 2005, with his best prior finish a 6th place. He has worked as a supervisor for Pierce Transit for 20+ years. Congratulation also go to Curt Sanborn for taking 2nd place and Lee Farquhar for his second straight 3rd place finish. |
