The ladies are on a hot streak! New member Mary Cutshall was the only entrant to crack 1000 with a nice 1037. She got so locked in the last game, that everything seemed to be working. Mary has been bowling for 30 years, currently out of Hillcrest Lanes. Her most interesting comment was that she would make good use of her winnings on a trip she has planned to Egypt in October. Mary is obviously a very active person, she likes to spend time with her kids and grandkids as well as skiing, hiking, softball & boating. Mary "just wanted to bowl" and unfortunately hadn't entered the Progressive Pot, but was still quite excited to have won her first event, of any kind.
Gus Ramos III and Jesse Lane both made a strong effort to pull it out in the last squad, ending up 2nd & 3rd with 997 & 979. Two longtime Life members made returns to the Cash List, Tong Nguyen and Rudy Laed, while another, Gary De Leon made his return to the tour.
Announcements:
Progressive Pot: Now climbs to $1687.
Strike Pot: Since the $500 Strike Pot Consolation was not hit at Skyway, and the Pot is nearing $5000, we will try again to give a chunk away at Bowlero. The same $500 Consolation rules will be in effect next weekend at Bowlero.
Bowlero Lanes: July 21st is also a MONEY-ADDED event.
Discount: The $10 off for New Members will continue until the Labor Day Tournament. All New or Returning Members annual dues will stay at $15 thru August. We're trying to go into the new season in September, with a "wave" of momentum. There's nothing like a surge of new faces to accomplish that goal. Tell your friends to take advantage of the opportunity. |
