What a weekend!  And boy was there some intensity and tough competition in the Bracket Finals.  In the final match, Mike Mullert throws a 290 against Doug Beale's 258.  That's pretty tough!  CONGRATULATIONS MIKE!

This is Mike's 1st win and he did it big!  Mike attributes his improved bowling to his new Plastic Blue Zone ball drilled by Pat Johns at HiLine Lanes and the coaching he's received from Mike Law.  He has been an active bowler since he was 13 years old (not that long ago), currently shooting on Wednesday's at HiLine.  Mike says that his wife already has the $1311 in winnings spent and he wants to thank her for letting him bowl on Super Bowl Sunday.  Also, he wanted to thank his good friend (and fellow finalist) Anthony Escalona for staying and supporting him thru the finals. Mike especially wants to acknowledge his mom and dedicate this win to her.  

He hasn't been able to bowl with the 9-Tap Tour for the last 4 months.  2 days after his last Tournament his mother was seriously injured in a car accident.  She's been in a coma since the accident and the time he spends with her on weekends has taken him away for the Tour for a while.  His special message for her is... Love Luck& Laughter xo Mom. Congratulations to all of the finalists and thanks for such an exciting finals.

If you saw the art work for the "Top Qualifier" jacket, you know it's going to look GOOD.  The jacket winner for his awesome 1097 is Anthony Escalona.
