What a GREAT Bracket Finals at Narrows Plaza Sunday!  Lots of matches that came right down to the 10th frame, some very nice scores, and again a wide variety of averages.  The turnout was lighter than expected, but with everything else going on over the weekend, 83 entries wasn't all that bad.  BUT WAIT TILL NEXT WEEK!  A RECORD HIGH Progressive Pot ($2180), plus the always popular "Throw-out Your Worst Game", should make for a record breaking Tournament at HiLine. Our Miller-Lite/Venture Bank Classic Champion is Chris Dunmire.  Chris wins in only his 3rd Tournament (5th entry) since joining the Tour.  During his march through the Brackets, he started by taking-out the #2 qualifier Erik Akioka, 265 to 253, and finished with a nail-biter for the title against Mandy Haugen 214 to 207.  With all of the sponsor Money-Added, 1st place paid $1000, unfortunately the $929 winners share of the Progressive Pot was left in the pot for next week.  Chris said he's been bowling for over 40 years and currently shoots league at Kent Bowl.  He's been at Boeing for 22 years and he plans a nice family dinner, new cell phones and of course some new bowling balls for his winnings.  Chris used his "Double Agent" drilled by Dan Sanchez at the Kent Precision Pro Shop for his victory.  His "Fan Club" of fellow Kent Bowlers, the McCollum and Lawrence families, stayed to the end to root him on.  Chris commented that he'd "take luck over skill anytime", but I watched some pretty nice clutch shots along the way.  Great Job and Congratulations Chris! Our 2nd place finisher obviously likes Narrows Plaza!  Mandy Haugen won her 1st Tour Title at Narrows just last month and came VERY close to going back-to-back.  She was ON FIRE winning her first three matches by large margins.  Mandy won a nice payday of $872 ($500+$372) and when you add-in the $50 she won from the Strike Pot that's a pretty nice weekend.  Robert Grinds and Brian Selck shared 3rd place ($393 each) and also had some memorable matches along the way.  Gus Ramos Jr took Top Qualifier honors winning a new Hammer "Angry Raw Hammer" ball and a 9-Tap Jacket.  In all $6042 was paid out this weekend, with "Low to Cash" still taking home $150. Next week: Aug. 11th HiLine Lanes in Burien - "Throw-out You Worst Game" Squads: 12:00 - 2:00  re-oil  5:00 - 7:00. RECORD Progressive Pot: $2180 - full entry will pay an additional, $1090 for 1st place HUGE Strike Pot: $4719
