Record HIGH Progressive Pot & Strike Pot - both get even BIGGER!

HiLine Tournament becomes a "Battle Royale" between 5 Top Gunslingers! In the first squad, Darryl "Doc Holliday" Rogstad shoots an excellent 1033 that looks like it will be tough to beat. But, the RED HOT, Rich "Sundance" Eaton, in the next squad, blasts his way through the competition, to nose out "Doc" with a 1050. But, the there were other gunslingers looking for the big reward for takin' down "Sundance". First, Pat "Wyatt Earp" Govert takes a run at the Top with two nice games. He got wounded badly, in the 3rd game, only to come back with a 300 in his last game, which still left him a bit short (Boot Hill for "Wyatt"). John "Wild Bill" Nissen then painted a target on "Sundance" and said he was gunnin' for him. He knocked out 3 big games and needed only one strike in the 10th to take him down. Alas, he didn't carry and came up only 4 pins short (Boot Hill for "Wild Bill"). Galloping through "Wild Bill's" smoke came Kevin "Butch Cassidy" Ford. He snuck up on the whole gang. Nobody was expecting this quiet, 170's average league bowler to pose a serious threat. Surprise! Kevin shoots a 1050 and TIES Rich for 1st place. When all the smoke cleared, they both decided to "holster their weapons" and share the title. By splitting 1st and 2nd places, they divided the $800 + $400 and shared $600 each. Rich's share of the Pro Pot totalled $777, but Kevin hadn't gotten into the Progressive Pot, leaving that share to carryover. We paid out a total of $888 from the Pro Pot, leaving a net gain of over $300 for the Pot and a New Record HIGH $2520.00.

This is Kevin's first Championship since joining the Tour last May. He is just a few days from his birthday and only a week or two from becoming a father with Tammy Shepard, another 9-Tap Tour member. Boy, will this ever be a month to remember for Kevin!!! Congratulations all the way around. Kevin shoots league at Skyway Park and his weapons for his win, were his Hammer Black Widow & his Infinite One drilled by Keith Boyd at Paradise. Boyd's sister Karen and Kevin's nephew Derrick were both on hand, at HiLine, for support. Kevin asked me to thank all of his friends and Tammy, for continuing to "have faith in him". Rich has really been "On Fire" this last month. He even won MORE money at the Casino after the Tournament. Rich was just breaking in his brand new Track Power Machine, that he's now pretty excited about, to win his fourth Title and the coveted "Gold" Champion's shirt.

We paid out $150 this week from the Strike Pot, but the Pot still grew to another RECORD HIGH of $5276.00. So, we'll keep the $500 Consolation Bonus in effect for next SUNDAY at Narrows.
