Some very nice scoring at Daffodil Lanes, along with a nice turnout.  No huge scores, but 7 members shot over 1000, with Steve Lawrence leading the way with a 1049, for his first Tournament Championship.  Steve wins our largest one day payout of $1706 ($800+$906), bowling in the 1st squad. 

  Jesse Lane came in with a fine 1024 in the last squad to take 2nd and another big payout of $762.  In all, over $4800 was paid out at Daffodil, with another nice spread of averages, ranging from 44 pins of handicap down to 0 pins. Steve is a GREAT example of just how much bowling can be a family sport.  He regularly bowls league and 9-Tap Tournaments with wife Vicki and son Matt.  Matt won the 9-Tap event at Hillcrest and Vicki currently leads her division at the USBC Womens State Tournament in Singles and All-Events.  Matt's wife Sarah and thier infant son are always there to root them on.    The whole family is a "Class Act"! 

  Steve gave up bowling in 1984 to focus his time on the family, only getting back into leagues last year.  His Track GP drilled by Corey Gardner was his weapon of choice.  Steve also has a previous best 3rd place finish this year.  He told us the he really likes bowling in all the different houses and particularly enjoys all the new people he's meeting every week.  He also enjoys hunting, fishing, boating and motorcycles.
