Nice payday at Bowlero this weekend! Even with a fair amount of Progressive Pot money left on the table, we still had a total of $5372 paid out Saturday. A fantastic total for a one-day Tournament. Part of that payout coming from the $500 Strike Pot bonus consolation, that was won by two members Tong Nguyen & Gus Ramos III, hitting the first 5 no-taps.
The Champion, is a long time Life member making a triumphant return to the Tour. Kenny Tameno, wins his 1st 9-Tap title shooting a hot and consistent 1088. Kenny, who's been a bowler for 15 years, does his league bowling at three different houses, Sunset Lanes (Ballard), West Seattle Lanes and Lynnwood Bowl. His ball of choice was an Absolute Inferno drilled by Bill Hopskins at Kenmore Lanes. His plans for his winnings are paying off some bills and of course, getting some new bowling equipment. Kenny works for Dynon Avionics and his favorite hobby is computers.
A longer than usual oil pattern at Bowlero, resulted in some higher than usual scores. Yet we still had a nice balance of high, middle & lower averages among the 17 members that cashed. Wes Pushis taking 2nd place with a fine 1049, with Steven Wyatt right behind him with a 1038. Very nice shooting and congratulations to all who cashed!
Lots of New and returning Members at Bowlero taking advantage of the lowered Membership fee. That rate will continue though August.
Next Saturday is a bye, followed by what promises to be a BIG weekend at Narrows Plaza, August 4th & 5th. This will cap off the "Summer Series" at Narrows Plaza with the 3rd of 3 Money-Added events by the center. This one will have 3 sponsors, Venture Bank, Miller Beer and Narrows Plaza. If we hit 125 entries as we expect, the Money-Added will total $1250 for this one. This event is open to all members and since the Progressive Pot is in effect for this Tournament, the winners purse could easily be a record high, with a chance to exceed $2000.
