Schofield Bowling Center!!! 

The 9 Tap Tour Hawaii Region kicked off the 2019 season at Schofield Bowling Center this past weekend and as expected, shaped up into an exciting day of scoring with a very nice payout.  We welcomed back past members as well as a new member.  Using our members favorite, "Best 3 out of 4" format, it proved successful as it drew 71 entries; paid out $5,153.00; 14 cashers in a wide range of handicaps (-6 to 50); and a New Champion. 

Paul Braga has been a member of the 9 Tap Tour since October of 2018 and has come close to winning, back on December 1st at Ft. Shafter only to get beaten by Archie Trajano.  Paul loves to bowl and has bowled in every tournament since joining the tour.  It's great to see a bowler improve his approach to the game and as he improves so does his scores.  

In the first squad, Paul didn't do as well scoring a 668 however that wouldn't stop himfrom reentering into the second squad, got into a groove and posted the only 800 score for the squad lead.  Paul wins his first title along with $1,473.00.  Congratulations Paul on a great start of the New Year!  In second place was Jason Kotani posting a score of 752.   Roy Takara and Archie Trajanowere tied for3rd Place, 744, beating out Giles Okada and Craig Bolling by 5 pins, at 739.  Paul thanks Virgil Dela Cruz of Exxxtreme 300 Pro Shop for drilling his Hammer Black Widow that he used to win his first title.  He also thanks the 9 Tap Tour Staff for putting on the tournament.  Congratulations Paul on your win!

Kevin Asato took home a nice chunk of change from the 9 Tap Jackpot which stands at $5,495.00 and the Progressive Pot at $1,300.00.  A New Year to get your friends and family to join your 9 Tap Tour.
